Museum Nao Victoria

Enjoy a complimentary pick-up and drop-off from and to your hotel or cruise port. and head to Museum Nao Victoria. The entrance fee is around $4 dollars and you pay once you get there. Here you can travel back in time and experience the real-life thrill of a 16th-century sailing experience with a look at replicas of ships that once plied the Strait of Magellan. Here you’ll find weapons, navigation tools and copies of historical documents. Then we head to a beautiful restaurant located in the city and enjoy a southern Chilean lunch with delicious Chilean wine or beer (lunch excluded in price).

Cerro De La Cruz (Cross Hill)

Head to Cerro de La Cruz to get a panoramic view of the entire city. The hills are good places to enjoy the landscape anywhere. Punta Arenas looks amazing from The Cross Hill; from here you can also see Tierra del Fuego, the Brunswick Peninsula and the Sarmiento Mountain in the middle of an amazing scenery.

Plaza Muñoz Gamero

You will head to Plaza Muñoz Gamero to view key landmarks and monuments including the statue of “The Indian” where tourists go and rub its foot for good luck. Just two blocks from the Plaza is where we will find the Magallanes Regional Museum (Braun-Menendez Palace), one of the city’s former mansions, built in 1903.

Braun-Menendez Mansion

The luxurious mansion was declared national monument in 1974 and the descendants of the Braun Menéndez family donated it to the Chilean State in 1983, with all its original furniture and ornaments.

Maggiorino Borgatello Salesian Museum

This historical city tour also includes a visit to Maggiorino Borgatello Salesian Museum, the entrance fee is around $4 dollars and you pay once you go in. Here you will have a chance to learn about the cultural heritage of the area. This museum also displays a varied collection of flora and fauna which can be found in Magallanes region as well as craft-works that belonged to Yaganes, Onas, and Alacalufes.

Sara Braun Cemetery

Before finalizing the tour we head to the Sara Braun Cemetery, the entrance fee here is on us. This cemetery was ranked as one of the most beautiful in the world by CNN, and you will see for yourself fascinating tombs. Your tour finalizes with drop-off at your hotel or cruise port.

Punta Arenas

For those have chosen to only take the city tour without Fort Bulnes, you will be dropped off at the port or city center (your choice). If you chose Fort Bulnes as well, we will head approximately 37 miles (60 km) to the historic site of Fort Bulnes, where you’ll embark on a tour through Chile’s first settlement on a rocky hill at Punta Santa Ana. The entrance fee is $14,000 Chilean pesos which is paid once you get there, you can pay in card for this fee if you'd like. After this, we head back to the city where you will be dropped off where you were picked-up
